Very few deaths of individuals who I have never met affect me so greatly, but the death of Tim Russert is one of them. For almost two decades, I have eagerly woken up each and every Sunday morning to watch Meet the Press, a show he rescued from mediocrity to become the best politics show on any network. There is much more to be said about his career, his faith and his family by others who actually knew him, but for me he will always be remembered as the man who ended every broadcast with, "...If it's Sunday, it's MEET THE PRESS."
