I have been waiting for all of these three individuals to appear in NO on 8 ads for a few months, with Governor Schwarzenegger being the most obviously silent, and Senator Obama not too far behind (to my dismay). Now, in one final push using the three public figures, as well as the California Teachers Association, this ad hits the message home powerfully. Senator Feinstein stood up to the plate first and deserves enormous credit. (Where are you, Senator Boxer?) The Governor promised that he would speak out against NO on 8 publicly earlier this year, and he should be credited rightly. Lastly, the Democratic Presidential candidate has spoken about this issue before the fall campaign, but has disappointingly not appeared in any ads, almost certainly for political reasons. The momentum appears to have shifted against the proposition according to the only two recent public polls, and hopefully this means that gay men and women will be treated with equal respect under the law. Discrimination and fear through misinformation may not win, afterall. KNOW HOPE...
